A friend and I hunted earlier this week in Northcentral Montana. Winter has set in, in that part of the world, with knee deep snow in many places and some of it crusted over. We found birds but in several spots we also found thin ice and got wet to the knees
. What I won't do to shoot some roosters. Wednesday we tried a different spot and conditions were not bad when we started but after getting wet to above the knees this time and the wind and snow started it was time to call it a season. My best season in over 30 years of bird hunting. Tomorrow is the last day of our season but I think I will give the birds a break.
The pictures doesn't do justice to the conditions but better than no photo.
