With the low bird numbers in MN I didnt get out as much as I had in seasons past, just didnt have the enthusiasm I guess. But I had to get my dog out, birds or no birds. Not a bad season afterall. Between me and a hunting buddy, my dog found us 19 wild roosters, most coming in the last three weeks. Friday was our last day out, just me and the pooch. She managed to find us one last public land rooster. Hopefully next season is better, and I can free up some time to get out of state for a trip. Late season NW Minn public land rooster, thats about as tough as bird hunting gets!
