Large Munsterlander Owners???

Just curious how many other folks own and hunt this breed on this forum. I added my pup to the family about 15 months ago and have been pleased with his progress. He absolutely hunts great with my 4 year old GWP. I live in montana and would like to know a few others that have this breed and possibly get together for a bird hunt up this way, thanks.
 
seems there are very few "large".......i used to train with some guys, many of whom had "small" munsters......i always liked the tall and figured those long legs could cover some ground....just don't see very many at all. good luck and GBR!
 
Yeah , I know there are not alot around. I had to pick my pup up in Saskatoon, SK, actually quite a few breeders up that way. I figured if they could handle the winters up there, he would be good to go here...lol. He has lots of stamina and is a good size pup, about 70 lbs right now. He was slower to point then any of my gwp have been by far, but he really has a high drive to track game. He also loves water and retrieving. Ofcourse he is no where near the looker any of my wirehairs have been...LMAO.
 
I have a very good friend in Minnesota with a Small Munsterlander. Great dog. Very good hunter and super family dog. Don't know of any Large Munsterlander around but I do like the looks of the black & white dogs. I've read lots of good things about them. You might try the versatile dogs web site. http://versatiledogs.com/ Do some searching on that site or post your question there. Might be some owners around.
 
I know a family that has hunted here that hunt with several. I thinke they are large but i am not sure they are from the minneapolis area. If you want I could help you get in contact with them.
 
Thats not necessary, I was just curious if any bird hunters on this forum owned any...nothing in particular I was wondering, just looking to compare notes and maybe get mine to hunt with some of his cousins...lol
