Anyone interested in hitting Eastern KS Sunday or Monday? Or both...pretty flexible on my end. PM me...

Dont go to northeast kansas. Just got back and the drifts were so bad couldn't walk or drive down most roads. Horrible condidtions. we found one covey that only had 4 birds in it and another covey that only had 3 so didn't even shoot any.

this is not a good sign. the amount of snow and extreme cold weather could have really hurt the already dying pop. of quail in northeast kanas. :(

I spent the day hunting quail in Lyon county yesterday. We walked a LOT and saw 1 covey of 8 and another covey of 4. I don't shoot birds out of coveys that small so none were harvested. I couldn't believe how poor our luck was. Earlier in the season there were coveys everywhere up there. Perhaps the cold got em', but I'd like to think we just didn't find them. Best of luck to you wherever you're going. IF you go where the snow is deep and crusty, watch your dogs feet and stay off of the ice that you can't "afford" to fall through!
