Iowa's opener is today.

Thanks Nick. I shot about 250 birds to finds these 4. Harder than you imagine when you want birds that aren't shot-up or mauled by dogs, mature, fully feathered with long spurs.

I have tried a few different kinds. McFarmer suggested a pair and I got those. They worked for a few months then for what ever reason I couldn’t wear them. I bet I’ve tried 6 or so different ones including two pairs where my feet were mapped. None seemed to work very long. The latest shoes that have been working good but not great are Kuru ones. I am thinking this spring that I just need to bite the bullet and go see my foot doctor to see if any options for surgery exist.
Kevin, sorry to hear that. I guess every situation is different. As long as you have been fighting it, and I know how painful it is, it would be time to see a professional I think.

Best wishes.

I imagine it hurts to see that great young dog not going out, when I saw her work she(?) was one of the best I’ve been around.

No worries McFarmer, Kepa is still living the life here at home and while I haven’t gotten out pheasant hunting yet I certainly plan too make it out with her a few times this season. I hope all is well with you and the family. Kevin.
