Hello All,
I'm new to this forum, just ran across it a few days ago while seeking information about upland hunting in Kansas. A friend and I are considering making the long trek from the East Coast next season for Quail and Pheasant. It will be a do-it-ourselves hunt, on public land or whatever private land we might gain access to. I hope to get a feel for our possibilities from your postings and will chime in with a question from time to time.
If any of you have any questions about hunting Grouse and Woodcock in the Northeast, or those ugly Drahthaars, I'll share my opinions, for whatever they are worth.

WELCOME!

you can scroll down on the main page and find your state Kansas and go from there too. OR if you are traveling to a certain state.. you can pick a state on there.

lots of useful information on here!

Welcome. Have been up in your neck of the woods a couple of times chasing bear and deer. Saw plenty of grouse and would love to go back to try for those some day.

Enjoy the site.

Welcome from N. Illinois! I was going through some schooling in Boston during '08. It was hard not being able to hunt or see pheasants, until I drove just 10 min. outside of the city. I stopped at a forest preserve to take a walk and had a nice rooster fly right over me! I was on cloud 9 all day after that. I must say, there's some beautiful country on the east coast. I was pleasantly surprised of the fall colors and the amount of trees. :)
