My wife's dearest ambition is to move back to Texas. Probably near Dallas/Fort Worth. But I've been spoiled up here in North Dakota. What does bird numbers/habitat/species look like down there?

quail, a few pheasant in the panhandle, bring an ass pocket full of money to get on a quail lease, which most won't open up until after deer season closes in mid December...

Yup ... but it will be worth it!!!! We moved over 75 coveys in 3 days ... two of which we only got to hunt until 1:00 p.m. because of the heat.

It's been a good year. My 4 1/2 month old GSP( at the time) pointed 9 big coveys the last two hours of the last evening of the season(Feb 28)-a limit of 15 birds was not un-realistic this season.
