I want to take my first AZ/Quail hunting trip

Using dogs IS common. But to the earlier post, gambles and valley quail can be a challenge for a pointing dog due to their propensity to run or flush easily or lead a flusher out of gun range quickly. i have both types of dogs and my dogs have blown a lot of contacts. A big part of my satisfaction in hunting is when my dog learns and does well.
 
What are you talking about these birds don't hold here? I hunt 3 days a week here and get 20-30 points a day on all 3 species of quail. Maybe they don't hold with your dogs.
