Obie and I had a great day last weekend: he stayed in gun range, stayed off the slow moving porcupine that crossed our path (valuable command "OFF of the KITTY!!), flushed and retrieved to hand one beautiful grouse.
I was SO excited for pheasant hunting this year; unfortunately this morning after work I decided to fracture my tibia/fibula bad enough for surgery walking in our back yard. 3 months proposed off of routine activity.
totals for this season: 1 grouse, one porcupine, both firsts for my team.
BUMMER BUMMER BUMMER!
