Huron Crops

Talked to the land owner where we hunt near Huron last night and all the beans are out!!!! They are starting on corn this week it is at 18%!!!! This is going to be a great year for hunting sodak!!!!:cheers:

18%??? thats really wet... even elevators wont take anything over 16% or you get docked.


my brother works in Huron and said its been to wet to do anything. ag services there are really behind getting things caught up.

i went to huron for a wedding last weekend. i didnt see any pheasants on the road of hwy 14 or 37....

Bman, I think he means 18% of corn crop is harvested according to USDA report.

Sounds like most corn is way down on misture this fall.

if hes gonna wait til friday, you may have plenty of crops to hunt in when you arrive.

Whooops, I just made the fatal assumption since the USDA stats were 18% harvest.

Lat year 18% moisture in Dec was looking pretty good!

U Betcha. Will be at the Pheasant Camp Lodge with a few close buddies.

All the corn is still in but I am seeing birds trade between corn and roosting cover.
