I didn't know you hunted with Goose's cousin! My suggestion would be, to not wear sunglasses. The last time I hunted with a guy wearing sunglasses, he shot a hen. Just a coincidence?
I will ask about his cousins....you never know.I didn't know you hunted with Goose's cousin!
thank you for the reponse. looks like green or brown is the best. Do you think the reponse above about hard to tell colors from hen or rooster is someone pulling my leg, or it it really something to be concerned about?I got a pair of prescription polarized sunglasses from Costco this past year and really liked them. In between a brown and a green, I thought they worked well on sunny days and cut down on reflection from snow.
thank you for taking the time to respond. looks like the other seem brown, green, or yellow.I’ve been using prescription shooting glasses the last couple of years with different colored lenses. Most days yellow is the choice but on bright days the brown works well. I love purple for shooting clays on sunny days but for hunting they were terrible for me. One short walk with them and switched back to brown.
thank youI’ve had prescription smith sunglasses for 6-7 years. I’ve got two pair both polarized, blue lenses for bright sunny days and a bronze for everything else. I prefer bronze and wear them 90% of the time. Main issue I have solved is if your eyes are really bad like mine pick a pair with fairly flat glass and not curved. The prescription gets distorted in the curve of lense and messes up peripheral vision. Good luck
I didn't have an issue at all with colors. But they aren't super dark and if I'm not sure, I don't shoot anyway. IMO, a lot better than squinting through bright sun or glare off snow.thank you for the reponse. looks like green or brown is the best.
