hunting sunglass for this fall

hey guys, looking for some good sunglass for hunting birds out west. I was googling, I nothing came up. Any suggestions would be great.

My suggestion would be, to not wear sunglasses. The last time I hunted with a guy wearing sunglasses, he shot a hen. Just a coincidence?

Green tinted and polarized.

I got a pair of prescription polarized sunglasses from Costco this past year and really liked them. In between a brown and a green, I thought they worked well on sunny days and cut down on reflection from snow.

I’ve been using prescription shooting glasses the last couple of years with different colored lenses. Most days yellow is the choice but on bright days the brown works well. I love purple for shooting clays on sunny days but for hunting they were terrible for me. One short walk with them and switched back to brown.

thank you for the reponse. looks like green or brown is the best. Do you think the reponse above about hard to tell colors from hen or rooster is someone pulling my leg, or it it really something to be concerned about?

thank you for taking the time to respond. looks like the other seem brown, green, or yellow.

I’ve had prescription smith sunglasses for 6-7 years. I’ve got two pair both polarized, blue lenses for bright sunny days and a bronze for everything else. I prefer bronze and wear them 90% of the time. Main issue I have solved is if your eyes are really bad like mine pick a pair with fairly flat glass and not curved. The prescription gets distorted in the curve of lense and messes up peripheral vision. Good luck

I didn't have an issue at all with colors. But they aren't super dark and if I'm not sure, I don't shoot anyway. IMO, a lot better than squinting through bright sun or glare off snow.

I have been using THESE for several years. Theses Carhart safety glasses are strong, have impact resistant, polarized lens and don't look terrible. I bought 2 pairs 3 years ago and still haven't opened the second pair.

I have a pair of Pyramex V2, Reader Bifocals, from SafetyglassesUSA. Plastic lens (very clear plastic) with cheater lens. My pair is the "indoor/outdoor" ones. Very, very slight yellow lens, real good for cloudy and low light conditions. $8.79/pr

I use the smoke colored safety glasses from harbor freight. They are $2 so you can buy 10 pairs and replace when they get scratched. They also hug my face tight enough to block the wind well.

I had never worn sunglasses my entire life due to prescriptions, I’m 45.

For the last 10 years or so I have about 3 pairs of prescription sunglasses, keep a set in each truck so I always have them. I can’t imagine hunting on a sunny day without them. They help me on identifying a bird by not squinting way more than they hurt, and I don’t think they hurt in anyway.
