How to hunt new land for the first time!

I always hit edges first, to flush birds into the middle to have a crack at them later..it also depends on the type of day..mid day im hunting loafing cover near food, morning im hitting the roost..the golden hour im..not telling

Same advice here. I try to hit the edges because when they hear you coming they will usually run and escape then hold or fly out of a corner.

Also if the dog says break the plan then listen.
