How many people hunt preserve birds?

Unfortunately, if I want to hunt pheasant without having to invest a lot of $$ in travel, it's preserve only. I also guide at one. We stock early, and always have a healthy population of birds that are quite wild - not just released the day of your hunt. No limits, either. Bonus.

You need a third option of hunting both. I don't go out of my way to hunt preserve birds but a couple times a year my buddies and I do hunt preserves to tune the dogs up and get some pheasant hunting in during the winter. Preserves are also an easy and social hunt where you can get out and enjoy friends and the day.

I only "hunt" preserve birds with younger dogs for training. To me it isn't really hunting. It's dog work and I'm fine with that because I love to see the dogs work, practice and get better because lord knows I'm not helping them.
