How Important is Hunting to You?

Being 51 I am not in as good of shape that I was but not in too bad of shape.
But I had a fair amount of problems with my lower back last season. The one thing that really helped was I bought a new strap vest, a Wing Works. The belt on it takes most of the weight off you shoulders. That was a big help and something that I am sure would help some of you guys.

Hunting - it is my "passion". Most of my close friends (including my better half) don't understand it. I just wish I could do more upland hunting as opposed to waterfowling. Something magical about that cold, crisp morning air and cackling roosters being busted out of the cover by the dog.

For me it's important because it reminds me of the times my dad and I went rabbit and phez hunting when I was a kid. He has been gone 21 years now. He didn't get to enjoy retirement because he had lung problems that was caused by the factory he worked at. He retired january'89 and died january '90. That is why hunting is important to me. It's to keep the memories alive and remember the fun we had and everything he taught me.
