How big are your GSPs??

just sort of curious. My 10.5 month old is one tiny dude IMO.

he weighs in at 48 pounds. what he lacks in size he makes up in energy, so I don't really mind, but I expected him to be a little bigger. His father is a 70 pounder.
 
It's not the size or weight that matters..........It's the heart and desire to please that counts. I have 4 GSP's anywhere rom 48-65lbs.
 
Mine is going on 4 years and weighs 60lbs, has since he's been 1 yr old. About 23 in. at shoulder. Get lots of compliments on looks and size. He is a smooth runner and covers the ground effortlessly. He has a big heart and tons of desire but what I like the best is that he is a thinker. He'll stop and look the field over like he's formulating a plan of attack.
Works very well most of the time

Oh I agree. He is a great dog and I have yet to find another that can keep up with him. I expect to be able go do some long days this fall.

Just curious if such a small male was normal, that's all. Even the vet says he is small, and much smaller than his siblings at that.
 
Two of the best pheasant dogs I have had were on the smaller side. One was a female around 40lbs. She wasn't a fast worker but out birded other dogs constantly. The other one was a male at 46lbs who was a very quick and powerfull hunting machine with a no quit attitude. Size doesn't matter it's what's in them that counts.
 
I have had several. They have all ranged from 45 to 65 lbs. My older male I have now is 60 lbs and solid muscle. The other is 9 weeks old and about 6 lbs so I guess she doesn't count yet.

I have a few that would keep up that's for sure. Good things come in small packages!
