These pic's are from the Denver Post of a Pastor from Texas fly fishing for the first time on the Big Thompson outside Estes Park!!! He said his first words were Holy $%#@!!!!!LOL!!!

Funny stuff right there. Thanks for sharing that. :) I've had moose pop out of the bushes fly fishing before, but can't say I've had elk do it. Good stuff:cheers:
 
The elk by Estes have no fear of humans. Shared an alpine lake just north of RMNP with five moose one day while fishing. They seemed unbothered by my presence.

Really cool to see. Though they look a little "Photo Shopped", it both possible and plausible. Had the same thing happen almost two years ago on the Fall river up by Estes. My father dropped the camera in the water when it happened. The elk were just as ineterested as the tourists watching me. Elk were beautiful to see on the water, tourists in plaid shorts and fanny packs not so much.

Speaking of fly fishing, for any of you that do. My tying season is coming up. In addidtion on patterns to fill my boxes back up; I experiment a little and always need testers for new patterns or variants on tried and true flies. PM me an address and i'll put you on the list to try a half dozen or so out.
