See you next week when I return for my second SD hunt, my first on private property. Looking forward to seeing the nice people of SD again. Enjoyed my trip up there last season.
UPDATE: Had a great hunt in Jones Co. See Carptom1's account in this sub-forum. It was a challenge with the milo and corn still in the field, but we set up blockers and had many flushes when the walkers neared the blockers. Tom's younger son (16) bagged his first pheasant on a shot taken in standing corn. The five dogs - three Labs, one Golden, and Gus the Brittany - were great in the standing milo, corn, and very wet cattails. Gus converted to a close working flusher, imitating the three Labs and one Golden, as we moved through the crops, and all five made retrieves to hand. We had good dinners at the Nut Buster in Draper.
