Hello from Ft. Hood TX

I've been on the site for a few days but haven't really introduced my self, so here I go. First off awesome site! I've already learned alot from everyone and I hope that I can contribute when I can. I'm originally from eatern Kansas and use to hunt birds as much as I could. I joined the Army in 02 and have been staitioned in Ft. Hood, TX which makes pheasant hunting kind of tough. I have been making it a point to go home at least once every fall for a trip to western Kansas with my friends from eastern Kansas who have contacts out there. (A BIG Thanks to my friends!!) Anyways I should be moving to Ft. Riley in about 2 years! Can't wait! Look forward to meeting you all and hope to see you in the field!

Welcome to UPH, hope to see you more often. Thank you for your service to our country.....Bob

As a new member too I think you will find this site to be friendly and very helpful.

Thank you for your service.

I would suggest that anyone here on UPH with hookups or info and help this new serviceman/member have a good hunt back home.

Really? That's not what I've heard from folks who moved to TX from other places. From what I've heard (and I don't believe everything I hear) that TX has a sort of "If yain't from here, don't come here" kind of attitude. I'm glad not all Texans feel that way......

Welcom to the site KansasUplandHunter:thumbsup:

I'm sure there are some that feel that way; but your welcome in my neck of the woods; actually I don't have any woods but your still welcome.

Texas

I've enjoyed Texas since I've been here and the state has alot of good people and good qualities but if I had my way I would be back in Kansas where the birds are plentifull.
