No chatter on the Missouri site, crappie must be biting or the morels are sprouting. Anybody out and about, seeing birds, or hearing quail call yet? Song birds here are making a racket, so far no quail, but still early, wonder how we came through, had some nasty winter after the season closed, on the plus side so far spring has been warmer, and drier, gives me some hope.

Haven't seen or heard any quail for quite a few weeks. Been fishing a bit and taking the dogs out for exercise.

Saw my first quail of the spring while doing spring field work so looks like a few quail made it but know the winter was hard on them. Hope to get to do a little turkey hunting but usually busy with farm field work. Also will do some crappie fishing when have time and mushroom hunting when possible. But my first love is quail and pheasant hunting behind good pointing bird dogs! Will have to wait till fall for that and as always look forward to then.
