It was about what was expected. A total of 33 WILD pheasants were flushed. It has been FIVE years since the last birds were released. These are Pa. WILD pheasants!! More habitat work needs to done here, the best is yet to come.
 
I am curious to see how the crowing counts are this spring. I'll be helping out over the next two surveys and hope to see more wild PA pheasants!
 
Many of these birds are at least three generations of Pa. born wild. This area was one of the areas where certain "experts" said it would never work. I wonder what they are saying now. I just wish more people would get involved.Good habitat is certainly the key!
