Wildlife conservation groups and sportsmen across the state might have uttered a collective sigh of relief Monday, when the House Agriculture , Livestock and Natural Resources Committee of the Colorado Legislature opted to postpone indefinitely House bill 1150, in effect killing it. The measure would have Transferred $ 5 Million a year for the next 10 years from the wildlife cash fund, the primary source of revenue for the Colorado Division of Wildlife, to the Colorado Water Conservation Board's construction fund. It also would have meant a loss of $20 million a year in returns of Federal excise tax money. The loss of the $ 25 million annually would have had a major impact on the DOW's ability to meet it's responsibilities to the State's Wildlife resources and Sportsmen.:10sign::10sign:
