I picked up 250 day olds about a month ago and left them come out of the brooder house for the first time. They got a visit from one of the several holdovers that are in the area.
WHOA ! That's a beautiful looking Rooster ! Looks like he's looking for a date. lol ! Really neat that he held over . Do you see any others ? How about your quail ?
I have not done the quail in many years and they are all gone. I did see several roosters in the spring and some hens. I’ve had reports of roosters fighting over the hens earlier in the spring.
