Man is this weather nice. 40's again today, windy as heck, but warm. Not a single snow flake has stayed yet. I feel like I am in AZ:D I even had shorts on the other day out side, "in Dec"! Birds are loving this for sure. I think what we have left this winter is basically out of the woods and going to get through AOK. Provided we just avoid any bad ice storm.

Yeah this is silly (but nice) weather. What a stark contrast from a year ago at this time. Just hope it's not the calm before the storm and we get clobbered in January/ February.

Yup! looooong time till Spring.

At least:) days are getting longer.

Or... you could look at this way. With this December being more like late October, we have 1 month less of of harsh weather/winter to deal with in regards to what an average December would have been like. So effectively a shorter winter right?

Farmers almanac is predicting average snowfall, but colder temps for the upper Midwest winter 2012.

This is my 1st MN brown Christmas. This is fun.

I experienced the only other snowless Christmas during 1971 while being employed by uncle Sam in SE Asia. That wasn't much fun.

We'll end up paying for it in January.:(

It can stay like this through January and then start warming up as far as I'm concerned. I don't miss the snow a bit. I have this bad feeling we are going to have a bad summer storm season though. Call it just a hunch.

I saw a group of about 50 mourning doves yesterday while out chasing pheasants. What are the chances of seeing those in Minnesota in late December?
