Goodbye to a Good Dog

My huntin' buddy's 13 year old britt had to be put down a few days ago. We hunted together every season of her life. We hunted together the two days after Thanksgiving this year. On a piece of cover she and my britt switched and I had her in front of me as she checked everything with her sharp nose and eyes. Good dog.

Godspeed Britchaser. It's the one day each and every one of us dog owners regret having to come. As our hunting buddies age, the thought crosses our minds that the dreaded day may be getting near, but you never really prepare yourself fully and then one day that time comes and you must make the ultimate decision....

One thing is for certain, those memories will stay with you forever. Cherish them, again sorry to hear about this.
