Check out the Pella Vest, they have them on a good price right now. They also have a gamehide Hoodie on sale for pretty cheap as well.

I guess the Pella stuff is all on Sale because Browning bought the rights to the Bird 'n lite apparel. Can't say I'm a huge fan of that, I hope these don't lose the quality that Pella had. Browning needs to stick to making Guns, because their Hunting Vests and any of their clothes i've had are worthless!

 for Uplanders.com Really nice folks at Uplanders.

Agreed, Jared and Dixie run a great business!! GREAT Customer Service!

Just bought a Bird 'n Lite strap vest this past fall. Through the season, I was happy with my purchase.

yeah I couldn't be happier with my Bird n lite vest... Contemplating picking up a strap vest before Browning starts making all their stuff. Got a feeling the quality is going to take a dive.

I think I'd have to agree. My strap vest was a huge upgrade from my Cablea's Ultimate Gundog vest, and worth every penny (although I had a coupon for $20 off purchases of $100 or more)...

More info on Browning's acquisition of Bird 'n Lite

Hi guys -

I stumbled across this thread and thought I would speak to the quality comments about Browning gear. Specific to the Bird 'n Lite gear, it will all be made by the same manufacturer that built it for Pella - it is the same material, etc., just with a Browning logo slapped on it. That said, Browning actually did make a couple changes - and knowing the old Pella style and the new Browning version - I think are improvements. The most obvious is the snap on the front cargo pockets replacing the velcro. The cargo pockets overall lack structure and are a bit floppy for my taste (and I own and hunt with both the Pack and Strap style BNL vests), and the velcro was always hard to manage with one hand. In addition to the snap/velcro change, they made some minor "finish" enhancements like taping some seams. Everything else is the same. The manufacturer owns the rights to the BNL brand and technology and is simply leasing it to Browning.

Shoot me a note if any of you have questions about this. Thanks -JT

PS - thanks for the nice comments about our customer service! I'll admit - my wife (Dixie) deserves most of the credit.
