Going to try something different.

One of my biggest problems is when I have many pheasants but am not able to harvest the corn before the season starts. So this year I am going to plant corn in 48 row strips. The hope is that it will make it possible to get to the birds. I will plant soybeans in the strip in between the corn strips, hopefully the beans will be harvested by the start of the season. Does this seem like a plan that will work?

A farmer around here has done it for years, seems to work for them. I think he has 16 rows corn and 40 feet of soybeans. I don’t know what his herbicide program is.
