How in the heck does a "I"m stuck" post become political? or contravertial. I think we all need to get out a gun and go shoot something, before we go crazy.. I still stand by the, "buy a ford" idea. End of problem.
That's kind of funny with you living in Gardner, last time I checked that was still in Jo Co. I'd much rather have JO tags than those Show-Me Plates!!!!![]()
Toad,
Good to see you on. I hadn't seen you for awhile or maybe I missed it, either way hope all is well with you and yours.
I spent a few dollars last year at the car wash in Alma getting some of that Flint Hills clay & muck out from under my truck. A long handled putty knife might have worked better.
Later,
That is good to hear! I've seen a few on a local WIHA as well.....I'm trying (actually trying) the early season thing for the first time this year. Thanks for sharing.
You must go out way west then...LOL I'm originally from Central Ks and they all know my truck or the trucks that run with me when we go hunting back there so they don't even bat an eye when they see JO plates! Now them Show-Me guys!!!!!Oh I feel the "love" every time I am out west and people see the stickers!

It pours, man it pours! Lol. Yep '73 k5 custom cab, 454 big block with headers edelbrock intake and 4 barrel, 4 speed granny gear tranny, and a Lincoln locker rear. We only get about 12' of rain on a good year in cen cal, so its just for fun. Plus at 4mpg I can't afford to drive it to much.
LOL, I didn't think that was your hunting vehicle, besides my Dodge wouldn't have any problem pulling out that beast, it pulls out all makes of trucks just fine!It pours, man it pours! Lol. I really haven't traveled any major gravel roads as of yet. When I do have to travel on gravel I just slow her down and try to stay out of the loose stuff. Just been towing the boat back and forth to tournaments and so far it's been all blacktop or pavement. I'll get a set of color matched fender flares here in the next month or so before season starts and then I won't worry about it.Kiotehntr,
Do you have any problems with those wide tires eating the paint off the quarter and rocker panels of your truck, especially on gravel roads? I don't know if I had bad luck or a bad paint job but the 33X10.50 tires on my last truck tore the paint to pieces.

LOL, I didn't think that was your hunting vehicle, besides my Dodge wouldn't have any problem pulling out that beast, it pulls out all makes of trucks just fine!I'm only pushing about 425hp right now, installed a 2.5" level kit and run Nitto Terra Grapplers. I don't think that I'm going to have any problems with mud, and yes my vehicle does see the mud and muck!
Yeah she looks nice, but I bought a truck to do what a truck should do. I'll be running coyotes once we get some snow and I'll be traveling the same ole' no maintenance roads as soon as season arrives. I will take it a little easier on this truck, my 08 Ram ate plenty of mud and snow though.i wouldnt even take that baby out hunting or mudding!!!
id make my current GMC my hunting truck if i had a new truck sitting in my driveway.
and yah, my GMC hasnt gotten stuck and its bone stuck with cooper discover tires on it... 57K miles and still has tread on them. i asked for 6 plys instead of their normal 4 plys to make it last longer on gravel roads. i had 4 plys firestones before and they chewed up in 20K miles. 57K on my coopers 6 plys and going strong! ive only been stuck ONCE.... in my own driveway when we had 17 inch snow drift and i thought i could get out fast enuf, but i got hung up and centered, shoveled out the snow out from underneath where the frame is, and bingo, got out.
