so i was going back to my truck this late afternoon and i was losing light fast, so i figured i would cut through the presumably shallow swamp. my first step in went well, the second i sunk up to my knees in mud. so i came home with nothing but muddy boots that froze on the way to the truck and wet pants. now the big question is to play sick on the phone with work and go out again tomorrow.

I say yes. I don't know how many times I've done the same thing lol.

i believe a pair of rubber boots might be in my future. iv'e got a new hunting spot i'm trying tomorrow. its state land surrounded by private land. luckily my friends property borders it and he said iv'e got the VIP pass.maybe it wont be too swampy:thumbsup:

I'm not going to lie, people who call in sick to go hunting are my heros.:D I know it sounds bad but I do it a lot this time of year, luckily this is the slow time of year for asphalt work. The rest of the year I'm the best employee you could hope for and never take a day off but come fall I just can't seem to shake that damn bird flu.

I never get out with my boots! At least without digging around by hand. I plan to walk around those areas. I actually had a horse bog down and I had to get off and help dragging the horse out, yes I lost the boots, too!

looks like ill have to wait until after work. my boss needs me to drive him around since his truck is in the shop. but thats why u charge him a buck per mile lol. with any luck he'll need to go to lowes, right next to gander mountain :10sign:
