Frozen Whistle

I was out hunting in minus degree weather and had a heck of a time keeping my whistle from freezing up, I tried pea and pea-less, both froze anyone else ever have this problem and anyone have a good suggestion to prevent this from happening?

Had it happen with my pea'd whistle, don't remember brand. Switched to a Fox40 pealess & have never had a problem.

I use the Fox 40 Sharx; I also use the vibration feature of my Dogtra collar. To my dog, they mean the same thing.

British buffalo horn whistle, just have 2. They are great.
