They did stock dumber birds but those are the ones that ended up on Thanksgiving tables.

This is in SW Michigan. Unfortunately wild pheasants are not what they used to be. Michigan has gone to releasing on state game areas to bolster the upland experience. There are areas of good wild pops, but mostly pvt lands in the southern 1/3rd of the state and small pops in the southern UP.
