From balmy to brutal in 12 hours...

Got out for a couple of hours late yesterday afternoon and the conditions were nice -- mid twenties with a light snow coming down. Went out this morning and it was brutal -- 10 below with a wind chill of 30 below. When I was exposed to the full brunt of the wind, it felt like 50 below to me. I did manage to bag a couple nice roosters though (one yesterday and one today). Here's this morning's kamikaze bird.

Thanks Webguy. When I pulled him out of my gamebag for that pic, he was already frozen. Damn, it was frosty out there. Left my dog crated in the vehicle. Didn't have the heart to ask her to hunt in those conditions. How did you guys deal with the weather out in SD this weekend?

nice pic
what part of the state are you hunting? Im always loking for guys, with dogs, to beat the cattails with. Im just SE of Lake Geneva.
