Just wondering if anyone has hunted near Forbes this year and how are the bird numbers? Thanks for any info. :cheers:

We hunted in Fredonia, not too far away. It was absolutely dismal. They got pounded by rain in May, June, and July after a tough winter. Go west. Trust me.

Not great news. Our reservations are made so we will have to make the best of it. We do hunt mainly South of Forbes, so hopefully that will make a difference. Thanks for the reply.:cheers:

Forbes hunt
We hunted in the Forbes area the first week of Nov. It was hard to find birds. We would hunt all day and our bird count was down about 40%. We had great weather which made up for some of the disappointment. Look in sloughs and cattails, that is where we had the best luck.

Thanks for the post, not sure what our weather will be as we are going the first week of Dec. Still beats working
