First time in bibs...

I found a set of Orvis Dakota Wax Bibs stuck in the back of my closet and my wife reminds me that I bought them at a garage sale a few years back. I wore them this weekend for the first time and...WOW...I'm sold. Very comfortable and user friendly. Great in the wind and snow. I normally wear a 5.11 pant and will when the weather cooperates but the bibs were great. Anybody else go the bib route?

I love the looks of these but it seems they quit making them so if anyone has a pair that they don't want - please look me up!

I hunt in bibs in cold weather and I love them. I hate hunting with the restrictions of a coat. The bibs allow to layer with a couple flannels and a carhart thick hoodie. Hunted sd last week with it being -12 one day, and I was busting a sweat. I bought some cabela's pack boots that were pretty sweet. They weigh 2.5 lbs, 600 grams of thinsulate, 100% waterproof. Great in the cold with 5 inches of snow.

I used to but I don't like the shoulder straps weighing on me. I don't wear suspenders either for the same reason.

When I did use bibs was cold, snowy days and they are great for that but for me the shoulder ache i get from suspenders seals the deal.
