Federal WPA closings

Pheasant opener is just a few days away. Wondering if motels will start getting massive cancellations as I would think many people coming out to hunt and staying in motels will hunt on public land of which much is federal. Obviously would increase the pressure on the state lands but maybe not if lots of cancels.

Don't know about motels but have heard of a major lodge operation just west of the river that canx the usual pre season party starting monday before the opener--several part time workers were told to just stay home and although people are starting to see birds--it's still a down year. I have an 80 acre field that has 30 acres of CRP--my farmer took in the corn from the rest of it today and called me to say it was the 1st field they had done that actually had birds on it.
