Anyone here live close to Dodge City, I mean an easy hour drive? If so I would like to invite you to come witness some awesome Falconry action first hand!

when is it? I watched a video not to long ago on a Bird dog show of a falcon taking a pheasant. Do you take many pheasant or quail in a season?

The NAFA meet is the week of Thanksgiving in November so you have a bunch of time to plan a day to come hunt with us.

I'm a a "Dirt Hawker" within Falconry I chase animals that run along the ground, typically we only catch a few quail and pheasants a year and the ones we do catch are normally hurt somehow, much like wild raptors, they only catch the sick, lame or stupid.

What part of KS are you from?

Very interesting! I'm within an hour of Dodge nearly every Thanksgiving. This could be quite an experience for my kids. They love anyhting to do with nature. Their favorite part of bird hunting is watching the dogs. They actually root for the dogs while we're in the field. I can only imagine what they'd think of having a "pet" bird that finds, kills, and retrieves the game for their handler.

We'd love to have you out and your children.
There will be 700 Falconers in town the week with 400 different kind of raptors from Golden Eagles to American Kestrels.

Most of the time we train our birds to bind and subdue then wait for us to move in and help.

Marked it on my calendar and if things are quiet down at the Longbranch, I'll be available.

cool. I'm from Great Bend, Ks so Dodge isnt to far. That would be cool to come watch. If you have any more pictures I'm sure everybody would enjoy them and thanks for the ones so far. I'm quite interested in this whole thing.

Great, I have enough PICs to last us until November when you can see and hunt with the birds in person.

This is a PIC of Zypher on a kill his first year, the eyes tell the whole story!

Wow! That is all I can really say too bad I will not even be in the country during the event because this would surelly be something to see. Hope you guys enjoy your time afield with you feathered friends. Make sure to take alot of pics for a guy who can't be there. If you happen to get any of any of the eagles I would be really interested in seeing it. Thanks again and good luck.
