End of the year hunts and pics?

Hey my season hunting for wild birds in my state of Minnesota was really poor, so I went to the game farm yesterday and shot em up! It was a lot of fun and great work for the dogs. Not looking to be chastized for shooting game birds, just showing some pics and asking others to show some pics and tell me your best stories from the end of the season. Hopefully some of you did better in the wild this year.

Nothing wrong with that. Here in Wisconsin you're forced to hunt the same places this time of year everytime if you want to get into birds,and you most of the time have to sort through a pile of hens and bust a ton of cover to get some shots. I'd guess Minnesota is a lot of the same. I can feel for a guy wanting to just get out and do some shooting.
 
My end of the year hunt included me climbing the hills in the back ground (after climbing the one I was on) in search of chukar and finding no birds. Oh well, I have a month left of quail season.:cheers:

Yes, we call those "hills" here in California lol.

Just a local game farm where they treat me well. I bring a group of guys from our church every year and shoot a lot of birds that day. Love the pictures from California! That is some incredible country and hills for a flatlander like me. I sold one of my pups this year to a guy from CA. He is going to be roaming those mountains with a beautiful golden retriever next year!

You had poor hunting in MN this year? What part of the state do you hunt? Good lookin dog!
 
I bet your dog had a ball chasing all those birds goldenboy. My dad and I headed up to a buddies farm near Scottsbluff, Nebraska over the weekend and had a good hunt. The weather was cold and the birds were in the thick cover sitting tight. If it wasn't for my dogs we would of walked by most of the birds.
 
Made it out one last time in 2012 and got into a good mess of quail today. Maybe I'll start off the new year right with another hunt tomorrow.:cheers:
