E-collar question

Looking for a recommendation for a new e-collar for my dog. If possible, something that is fairly simple and isn’t crazy expensive. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Been happy with sport dog, but I run retrievers. Some of mine are so old the plastic part of the collar has worn out but the mechanics are still going strong.

I have an English Setter and have had good luck with Dogtra. Use a combination beeper and e-collar.

Lots of good info on here if you do a search. Good collar selection is very dependent on breed and terrain you plan to hunt. You don't have to break the bank on a collar but a good collar will last a lot of years and is cheaper in the long run than replacing cheap ones every few years.

I like Dogtra Arc.
The receiver on the collar is light and waterproof and always works.
The transmitter is small and reliable, levels 1-128, momentary or continuous.

I have a couple of questions.
What breed of dog are you going to use it on?
What to you want the collar to do?

If you are not interested in beepers and/or GPS tracking and are just looking for something in a basic e-collar I would look no further than Dogtra. The 1900S would be a recommendation. It has constant and nick stimulation plus a vibrate mode.

Give us a little better idea of exactly looking for in a collar and we will be able to provide some good options.

Garmin Pro 550, finally broke down and bought this paired with the tt25 collar could not be happier. It’s pricey but gives me peace of mind. The tracking feature is simple and works well even in heavy tree canopy here in the U.P. As my hearing has been fading bells and beepers are less effective for me. Busted a flock of about 40 birds last fall in Mn adjoining a private 640 acre corn field. Dog followed into the corn on a windy day was about 40 minutes till she surfaced again running only a bell and no e-collar. Not a good experience so decided to make some changes and go high tech . First time in 59 years of pheasant that I have run an e-collar bought a started dog this spring already collar conditioned so made the switch.
