Duck hunting Setter ?

Well, Indy is always full of surprises. He likes to retrieve but was not wild about the water. Well he seems to think the water is OK now.

Don't know that he will be spending much time in a duck blind. He was getting cold in 80* water No fat and little tight feet don't make the best water dogs.

My other setter Ace has it in his contract that he does not have to fetch

Went and saw Ox at the trainer today. The guy could not believe how water crazy he is. He said he has never seen a dog hit the water running as fast as Ox does. Maybe ox will be the duck hunting setter. I was impressed by his improvement in retrieving he was bringing the shot quail right back. He is very soft mouthed he carried around a live quail in his mouth and did no damage. Put the quail down and the booger just flew right off. His point is not what I was hoping for... But he sure is bird crazy.

You might have to smear some mud on ol' Indy to hide him from the ducks. Maybe some grease war paint... Or maybe you could disguise him as a snow goose.
