dove stuff

in as much as a few of us are about to shoot at some dove pretty quick, here is some useless data from the hip program. in the wonderful state of colorado 17,000 hunters shot 204,300 birds or 12.0 birds per skillful hunter. the flatlander's of kansas of which 12,200 tried their luck. 244,800 birds were either killed or picked up beside the road for a total of 20.1 per hunter. they shot better than colorado guy's did. the clowns down in oklahoma of which there are apparently 15,700 of them, shot 349,700 birds or 22.3 birds per guy carrying a gun. the footnote said that the per gun count was so high cause they were picking up the wounded birds that were hit in kansas that made it across the border. the bozo's in texas as you would expect put up some big numbers as usual. the phalanx of hunters, like 207,200 of them shot a whopping 4,150,800 birds or 20.0 each. there ya have it folks, go get em'. missouri recovers about 10% of the birds banded. never have seen one but they are small and easy to miss or at least that what colorado is trying to tell me

cheers

What I would like to know is how many shells it took to shoot all those doves.

I am going to get out for a little while this weekend. Hope to have enough to cook up a meal.

The data shows that Oklahoma hunters have better dogs:rolleyes:
