Took the hounds out for some good exercise. Thought they would come home and lay around the rest of the day, but all it did was ramp them up!!!

ain't it agin the law to run dogs off your own lawn this time of year, used to be because they would interfere with the hatch or baby chicks, in as much as we don't have them anymore maybe they changed the law. just donno

Maybe at a SWA! This is private property.:cheers: Oh, and this area hasn't had a wild bird for 30 years. I would have to head over to your neck of the woods to see 1 or 2 wild birds! Use to be a nice population off 71st ave.

just spent considerable time trying to prove you are wrong on having dogs in the field, couldn't do it. in the past colorado had a law stating that dog training from about april 1st thru most of aug. was not allowed cause of nesting and baby birds. i could find no reference to that, on wildlife areas they have to be under control what ever that means and can't be chasing wildlife, also, if you have a gun, it has to contain blanks. fooled me

Bleu, ole GCB said that he trained the Great Dane to point, his lunch box :) said it came pretty much natural like, said he likes to hunt them because they could out hunt any GSP that was ever breed. Shows you how much he knows, must have gotten some of that medicinal Colorado weed or some of his own grown sash. :laugh:
 
the only reason i hunt the dane is she is the only dog i have big enough to haul my fat a$$ out of the field if i go down lol:cheers:
