I had a heck of a day today and I thought I'd share it with you guys. The wife took the two kids and headed out West to her parents house for the weekend. What's a guy to do.................that's right, hit the woods and the water! I had the day off work so I got up early and headed to meet an old buddy of mine to see if we couldn't bag a tom. While we were walking to our spot, I ran right into a skunk. He lifted his tail and I thought here we go. But he didn't spray and ran off into the woods instead. Lucky me. We sat down and as the sun came up I had two toms gobbling their heads off on the roost. We spoke back and forth for 20 minutes before they flew down. They ended up getting hung up and I couldn't call them in, but they put on a show for another good 20 minutes or so. It was an awesome hunt and I realized I'm past the stage of needing to kill something for it to be awesome. For that I am thankful.
From there I headed to the river to catch spawning whitebass which I haven't had the time to do yet this Spring. Went back to the old stompin grounds and managed to catch a few for dinner. Got home and drank a few beers in the garage with the neighbor as I cleaned fish. Took them inside and fried them up while the whole time my mouth was watering. Sat down in the chair with a plate full of fresh whitebass and a cold long-neck and turned the TV on and what do you know, a baseball game! What more could a guy as for.

Sounds like a phenomenal day! My answer to your last question would be: college football on the TV! Baseball will have to do:)
