Do you carry a dog first aid kit while hunting and if so what should be in one

I carry vet bond in my pickup first aid kit. I'd never use it in the field since not thoroughly cleaning the wound before gluing can lead to severe infection.

I carry a leash, needle nose pliers, athletic tape, a few bandages, a hair pick for flicking cactus off of dogs, a stapler from my vet, wire cutters for snares which I have never used, and a bottle of the blue gel locktite for small cuts. In the truck i always have a clean bucket and a shovel for dogs that get skunked. forget what everyone has told you about hydrogen peroxide and dish soap.... mix dirt and water in a bucket and smear the dog where it got skunked and let it dry, better yet take it hunting after applying and the skunk smell will get absorbed by the drying mud.

Funny you mention dirt/mud, my grandpa got sprayed when I was a kid and he threw the cloths away and buried his leather boots in the field for some time. I guess it worked, grandma didn’t make him sleep in the barn

here is something that truely works. Take peroxide (whole brown bottle), then mix with Odoban. Then soap the dog up, set a min or 2 and rinse. I have used this and it works.
