dickinson north dakota

I can't speak specifically for the Dickinson area in particular, but the area generally has great Pheasant numbers on an average year and the Sharptail hunting can be good too if your willing to wear off some boot leather. As you get south of the Interstate your going to be running more and more into the heart of Pheasant country, which means more posted land. There are quite a few pay to hunt operations that have a lot of land tied up as you near the towns of Mott, Regent and New England. There is public land, so i suggest getting a copy of their PLOTS maps when you get there or go to the game and fish website and download the individual grids that you are interested in.

I'm sure you'll get more people to chime in.

Dickinson has the interstate and many of the chain type lodging.
Lots of bird hunters base out of Dickinson, for good reason, pheasants in every direction.
Like birdshooter said, South is commercialized. Get out a ways and knock on doors. 1 or 2 hunters will have a much better chance of getting on then say, 3 trucks full of hunters.
