Hey Everyone,

Just got back from my first Northern Colorado PF chapter meeting. I am glad I went. It will be great to become more involved.

I want to let everyone know that the Northern Colorado PF banquet will be February 27 in Fort Collins, CO.

The Denver chapter will hold their event the week prior on February 20.

More details are coming soon!

So mark your calanders now. Pick which ever one makes most sense to you, but try to make it. Last year was my first banquet, and yes, I was apprehensive about going. It is a lot of fun and they DON'T at all try to pressure you into making donations. There are a ton of items they raffle (including many guns), a live auction, a silent auction, good food, and good company. Plus, the price includes your membership fees for the year. I think last years price was $50 and I bet that's what this years will be. I'm not 100% sure though.

It's a worthy cause and you won't be dissapointed. And the birds will love you for it. Maybe a couple of them will even sacrifice themselves for you next fall. :)

I'm already paid up for the whole shebang w/extras at the Denver banquet on the 20th! Look forward to meeting some fellow rooster-chasers who put their money where their mouth is!!!

Basspow,

I noticed your from Colorado Springs and I've seen a good number of other from the springs as well. If you're not aware, there is a Pikes Peak chapter in your area. I'm not sure if they have a banquet scheduled, but you can send an email to info@pikespeakpheasantsforever.org to find out.

Hey all you fellow CO rooster-chasers: I have noticed on this forum that it is mostly about the hunting (just by quick comparison of the number of hits on all the directly hunting-related threads to this one + I have noticed that other state's threads have pretty much completely died out once their hunting season is over)!

So before that happens here on this CO site & all goes quiet for another year, make sure you sign up for a PF banquet (whichever one is the closest & most convenient for you) & let's give a little something back to the colorful & wily birds that keep us all coming back for more!!!

Otherwise, there may one day be nothing much exciting left to go back afield for!...It's gonna take a whole lot of makin up for the massive loss of CRP possibly looming on the horizon if we are to even hold our ground, much less make any significant gains...Might as well get started now!!!

This is a great way to break up winter's long monotony and share a nite of camaraderie & good food together with fellow hunters on behalf of a worthy cause that we all partake from...And surely somebody could find a place for a stunning piece of sportsman's art/memorabilia or some quality tools-of-the-trade, a use for another gun, or a reason to go on that special hunt that some of you are gonna pay for somewhere next year anyway!

If any of you are at the Denver PF/QU banquet on Feb 20th, I'll see you there!

Dang that is the same day as our HRC game feed.
