Crowing Count Report- Wow

Increase in wild pheasant recovery area. Wild birds released in 2007 and 2008. Things look to be taking off but much work needs to be done for the potential population explosion.

Lynn,
I've been ecstatic since you told me about this. You heard over 140 roosters on your route, that's fantastic!!!
Why do think there was a big jump this year? The winters? Did other members of your Chapter survey other Routes?

Seems appropriate that this was the 100th Thread!

Looking good!

Just got a call from a farmer friend that does an unofficial crowing count in his area. He counted 27 Roosters, nothing like Lynn's count, but encouraging in that he counted 16 last year. He tries to follow the same process every year.

For sure! Talk about ole time Pa., this fellow does the route from horse back. I'm not sure how much acreage is involved, but it includes a few farms.
