Crop Report....What does it tell you?

Weather again is the deciding factor
Up here the weather has been warm/hot, sunshine and a brisk Southerly wind.
We have gone from green corn to brown during the past week. Beans have gone from green to the bin in many places.
Corn is still high moisture, but drying down fast.

Crop report

From what I gather from the report , the crops will be out when they are out , winter wheat will do its best to grow, and CRP cover will be where it was planted . What this means for my plans .... I will honor my reservation to uguide miller camp week 6 and hunt my you now what off because I love hunting and my friends . And according to a guy in Nebraska no place . Uguide camps are garden of Eden honey holes . There are few guarantees in life but I guarantee I will hunt . First trip Tim

When I first looked at this report it looked like harvest would be close to "average" and average based on past years means harvest wraps up around Thanksgiving. Due to the drought I believe it will be greatly accelerated.

Chris hope the crops hold til about the 2nd or 3rd week of the season should make hunting at pheasant camp great the 4th week:coolpics:
