Cottonwood Quail Company?

Hi All,

Sorry for asking a quail hunting question on a pheasant hunting forum, but . . .

I am looking to get my 19 month-old GSP on some quail this year, the more points per day the better, as part of his first year's hunting education. I am also looking for a nice easy fun hunt to take my girlfriend on over the Thanksgiving holiday. I specifically want to avoid doing alot of walking for not many bird contacts on this particular trip.

I see an outfit called Cottonwood Quail Company ( http://www.kansasquailhunts.com/ ) allows unguided hunts on 22,000 acres of private land near Englewood, KS, for $250 per day. Anyone ever heard of these guys and know if they provide a good hunting experience? Do they have enough quail to justify their access fee, or is there a better quail destination in the SW Kansas area in that price range?

Thanks.

use of "break-open" shotgun is required....looks like you'll have to buy a double barrel if you don't already have one : )

I've been trying to find every reason for an AYA 4/53 20 guage, this just might be it.

Dad went and got a hernia operation and was at an 8 lb weight restriction. Unfortunately, he got pulled off of restriction before he could get a good SxS ordered.
