Combines Rolling ?

I can't believe it.... I'm seeing combines out in the fields already in N. Illinois. Last year the corn was still in until mid-nov. Curious to see if anyone knows if the corn maturation is well ahead of schedule ? Let em roll.

they are cutting corn and beans here in ohio, no rain and the stuff looks bad.

Looks like some farmers are completely done in Britt already. I know several people who are down under a 1000 acres left. And a couple of these guys are those guys with lots of acres. On a side note, Coot, I was up in your territory today doing a little scouting. I was thinking about heading towards the Slough to get away from the windmills a little bit, but am unsure as my buddy and I won't be getting this way until 730 or so for ducks.

I spent the better part of the weekend driving SE MN and western WI with my wife checking out the fall colors. I would say that the last of the beans are coming out and corn will be next. Saw maybe 5-10% of corn harvested but it is ripe for the picking now.

Our Platte Creek Camp owner said they were done with beans and working on corn thought they would be done with most corn by opener. What a difference a year makes!!!!!:10sign:

I'm heading out to SD for the week and am anxious to see the change from being gone for just 2 short weeks as far as harvest goes.

I'm going to do some moisture checks on my own corn and hoepfully be able to get my renter over to get it out by opener. Not holding my breath on that one.
