This is my Chesapeake Tanner. He learned this all on his own. We kept finding the car door standing open one winter and my wife blamed me for leaving it open. I told her I wasn't doing it. I finally caught him doing it one morning, well I watched peeking through the window from the house.

If one door is not enough, lets try two

He will check every door until he finds the one that's unlocked. If I'm leaving the yard. He will run along side the car and keep opening the door until I either stop and let him in or I get backed out and finely get away from him. I look in the mirror as I drive away to a very disappointed dog.

That's awesome onpoint! Just wait until he learns how to start and shift it. He won't need you to take him hunting anymore, he'll go when he damn well pleases.:D:thumbsup:

Now you just need to teach him to load the gun, vest, shells, and lunch into the car, and warm it up for you!!

Nice video.

OP very cool videos. My favorite is the second one....BUT If I could teach my dog to open a refrigerator door like your pup does on the car. Man then bring me a beer. ;)

I've got a Britt that enjoys working the cap loose on an empty plastic pop bottle- without breaking the bottle- so just for kicks- I held an unopened pop bottle- yep- he worked the cap loose- I drank the pop
